How We Teach

A steady, hands-on method built around real kitchen practice, not just watching demonstrations

  1. 1
    Foundations First

New members start with core techniques used in traditional Egyptian cooking: spice building, dough handling, and slow-cooked stews, so every recipe afterward makes sense.

  2. 2
    Guided Recipe Sessions

Small groups work through classic dishes step by step alongside an instructor, practicing knife work, seasoning balance, and timing until each technique feels natural.

  3. 3
    Independent Practice

Students recreate dishes with less guidance, receiving feedback on texture, flavor balance, and presentation to build confidence before moving to more advanced recipes.

  4. 4
    Recipe Mastery Review

Each module closes with a shared meal where members present their dishes, discuss techniques learned, and receive notes to refine their cooking going forward.

What Our Members Say

I joined mainly to learn how my grandmother used to make mahshi, and after eight sessions I can finally get the rice texture right. The instructor corrected my rolling technique in the second class.
Mariam Abdel Fattah Retired teacher and home cook
The small group size made a real difference. We spent almost forty minutes just on how to layer spices for koshari sauce, and I still use that method every week at home.
Youssef El-Sayed Graphic designer learning family recipes
I signed up expecting a quick overview, but it's more structured than that. There's a clear progression from basic stews to more detailed dishes like feseekh preparation, which I appreciated.

What Sets Our Academy Apart

Small Group Sessions

Classes are kept small so instructors can give direct feedback on technique, seasoning, and timing during every session.

Recipe-Focused Curriculum

Each module is built around specific Egyptian dishes rather than general theory, so members leave with recipes they can repeat at home.

Rooted in Local Tradition

Our instructors draw on recipes passed down within Aswan families, keeping regional cooking methods and flavors at the center of every class.

Structured Progression

Sessions follow a logical order from foundational skills to more advanced techniques, helping members build competence step by step.
